Leah is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (BCACC #16138) who completed her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology at The University of British Columbia.

Leah combines clinical counselling skills with a unique coach approach to assist individuals with developing greater confidence in decision-making, building sound relationships in life and career, and succeeding in their careers and academics. She supports adult clients to explore their interests, thinking habits, and emotional experience; recognize their strengths and growth opportunities; and to design and achieve personal, relational, academic and career objectives.

Mental Health: She has significant experience supporting clients experiencing; anxiety, depression, perfectionism and burnout and those diagnosed or self-identified with ADHD and/or Autism. In working with a diverse population of clients, she draws on skills and knowledge built through her work over the past 25 years in academic, clinical, and university settings. Her ongoing training, counselling experience, and interest in research informs her evidence-based approach. Her Master's thesis research in first-year university persistence guides her work with university students and others striving to balance their wellbeing while persisting in their goals.  

Career: In addition to her therapeutic work, Leah has years of experience and expertise in career transition coaching. She has supported professionals and students seeking career change at The University of British Columbia Life and Career Centre at Robson Square. She has offered career coaching at Alumni UBC and career advising with the UBC Centre for Student Involvement and Careers. Leah continues to actively build on her coaching and career development knowledge and skills through formal training and professional mentorship. 

Relationships: Leah has completed levels 1, 2, and 3 practicum training in Gottman couples therapy and uses these evidence-based methods with couples and individuals interested in developing more effective communication skills and stronger more positive relationships at home and work.

Leah brings her energy and commitment for building insight, hope, and momentum to every one of her clients.
